Many low scorers hoping against hope?

While the cut-offs are expected to skyrocket as always, the Delhi University aspirants, who have scored less, are not losing hope. A lot of students have taken to enrolling themselves into the Non Collegiate for Women (NCW).
Besides, the NCW is also proving to be a suitable option for those who plan to work and study simultaneously. As classes for NCW students would only be held on weekends, it will be beneficial for those who will have to commute from far. Some students are filling up the NCW form to be on the safer side as they remain anxious and unsure about the cut-offs.
There are others who have applied to the NCW as they are apprehensive about the new Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP). They are thus, either planning to take up an additional course alongside or are planning to take up a job.
Pooja from Kalyan Vas RSKV School, who has scored 78 per cent said, "I have applied for BA Pass course at the NCW. Alongside, I would be pursuing a course in Hotel Management. I haven't filled the form for the regular Delhi University course as I don't know how the four-year course will turn out to be."
Adding to that, Mamta Shekha from Sarvodaya Kendriya Vidyalaya (SKV) School, who has scored 74 per cent said, "I am pursuing a Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA), I will be applying for the Bcom Pass course at the NCW." Meanwhile, there were also a few students who were unsure about making it to a regular DU course. Mehak Dixit from Dashmesh Public school, who secured 62 per cent said, "I am filling up the NCW form for BA Pass course as I am not sure if I will make it to a regular course in DU." Those staying in the Delhi-NCR region, felt it was easier as attending classes twice a week would ease them from commuting long distances. However, many students also regretted that the NCW only offered BA Pass and B.com Pass courses and did not offer any Honors courses.
