A Manipuri man, who was brutally thrashed by a group of fellow employees last Friday, has alleged that it was a racial attack as he was targeted for looking different.
Romen Abrambam ( 29) from Imphal was beaten by a group of around 10 to 12 men in his office at Udyog Vihar .
While his attackers said he was punished for suspected data theft. Romen has alleged that his distinct look made him a soft target for his bosses at TGS IT Solution and Friday’s assault was driven by racist feelings.
“After two days of the incident, the Gurugram Police filed an FIR against seven people on Monday. Although I was not in a condition to file a complaint, I reached the Udyog Vihar police station and filed an FIR,” he told The Pioneer on Thursday.
