After the approval of the Dilshad Garden extension from Delhi Government and subsequent approval from the DMRC board, DMRC MD Mangu Singh along with a team of officials inspected the Ghaziabad site and conducted deliberations with GDA officials.
DMRC MD Mangu Singh project manager SK Singdharia and OSD RK Jain visited the Ghaziabad site and undertook the tour of the city route. “We took them to the railway station and visited the old bus stand via Ambedkar Road to explore the possibilities of the further extension of the alignment from new bus stand to old bus stand. We further visited the Raj Nagar area where the district headquarters is situated,” said GDA VC Santosh Kumar Yadav.
“We showed them the alignment and explored further extension up to Raj Nagar where the district headquarters is situated. The DMRC team was convinced with our proposal and felt positive enough to extend the line further to Raj Nagar,” added the VC.
