A 40-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death while her sister and a teenaged boy sustained injuries after a 42-year-old man stabbed them near the victim’s residence in Southeast Delhi’s Jaitpur area on Tuesday afternoon. police said that the victim has been identified as Neeraj Chauhan.
Police said that they have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Jaitpur police station. “In the preliminary enquiry, we suspect that the victim had a tiff with the accused over a financial transaction. We are probing the matter from all angles. We have not ruled out illicit relationship between the victim and the accused as the one of the motives behind the murder,” said a senior police official.
