A 24-year-old man was arrested for raping his friend’s 14-year-old sister in Noida. He had also filmed the entire depravity. The accused was stalking the minor for quite some time and had threatened the victim to not tell anyone about the incident or he would upload the video on the Internet.
However, the girl’s brother came across the clip on accused Shravan Kumar’s mobile phone. He did not confront Kumar. Instead he approached police and lodged a complaint. Police registered a case of rape under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 4/12 of the Prevention of Children from the Sexual Offences (POCSO). His mobile phone containing the alleged MMS was seized by police.
Police said that the incident came to light on Wednesday evening. Shravan Kumar is a permanent resident of Bihar and resided in a rented accommodation in Noida’s Sector 9.
The complainant alleged that he not only raped his friend’s sister, but also recorded the brutality on his cell phone to blackmail her. “Kumar was arrested from his rented place,” a police official added.
“When I was transferring videos from Shravan’s phone to my phone, I found some objectionable video clips of him with my sister. I did not question Shravan and instead handed him over the phone. When I asked my sister about the alleged MMS, she narrated her ordeal. She also revealed that Shravan had been stalking her and had made several attempts earlier to rape her,” said the complainant.
