Maken targets Kejriwal in ‘Hunkar Rally’

A day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked people in an public meeting not to vote for Congress and Rahul Gandhi as “every vote to Congress will help BJP”, the Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken implicitly targeted AAP in “Hunkar Rally” and urged people not to vote for the party which “cuts vote” in the upcoming Lok-Sabha polls due next year. With this the ‘tug-of-war’ between the various political parties ahead of the Parliamentary polls seems to escalate as they gear up for the next year poll battle.

Addressing the huge Hunkar Rally in national capital, Maken advocated people to vote for Rahul Gandhi and not for the party which cut-votes. He said, “If anyone is fighting with the BJP and the RSS for the last four years, it is Congress president Rahul Gandhi”. Adding, people should not vote for the party which cut-votes.

In his bid to lure people to vote for Congress he said that people affected with sealing drive would get relief in 30 days if Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister.  “People should vote for the Congress party and make Rahul Gandhi the PM of the country. If Rahul Gandhi becomes the PM of the country, the Congress party will provide relief to the people from the sealing drive within 30 days,” said Maken.

As part of the “Nyay Yudh” agitation of the Congress party, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee under leadership of its president Ajay Maken organized a huge “Hunkar Rally” held at Ghonda in the North East Delhi .Congress party demanded a high-level enquiry into the alleged wide-spread corruption by the MCD and Delhi Government officials under the garb of illegal sealing of industries and shops. The Delhi Congress also announced the start of a strong “morcha” against illegal sealing at its “Hunkar Rally”, condemning the BJP and the AAP while holding them responsible for the illegal sealing.

Four term Congress MLA and senior leader Mukesh Sharma alleged that the officials of MCD and delhi government are hand-in-glove in the corruption .”Offcials of the MCD and the Delhi Government are collecting crores of rupees in an illegal manner from people afraid of illegal sealing. Nyay Yudh will continue till people get relief from illegal sealing and the seventh phase of the agitation will be launched very soon,” said Mukesh Sharma, Congress leader and former MLA.

Maken also targeted Delhi BJP president  Manoj Tiwari asking why he is silent when the “officials of the MCD were collecting illegal gratification under the cover of illegal sealing”. He said that the BJP was fully involved in this big scam and there was also full protection from the Delhi Government in this huge corruption.

Besides Maken, others who addressed the Hunkar Rally were former Delhi Ministers Arvinder Singh Lovely, Haroon Yusuf,  former MLA Mateen Ahmed, Hassan Ahmed, Vipin Sharma and others.
