Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken welcomed the decision taken by the lieutenant-Governor of Delhi to approve the demands of the lawyers to charge electricity tariff at domestic rates from lawyers’ chambers, instead of commercial rates.
Maken said it is a big victory for the lawyers of Delhi for their battle against charging power tariff at commercial rates from their chambers.
It may be recalled that hundreds of lawyers held a peaceful “Satyagraha” at Rajghat earlier this month to protest against the inclusion of lawyers under the GST bracket and the AAP Government in Delhi charging power at commercial rates from the lawyers’ chambers.
