So the Corporation has a fleet of 3,781 low-floor buses which were purchased during the Commonwealth Games from Tata and Ashok leyland bus manufacturing companies.

At the time of purchase, DTC had entered into an agreement with these private companies for the maintenance of these buses. According to the maintenance agreement, it is the onus of these companies to check the fitness of the low-floor buses on a regular basis. The Corporation pays a per kilometer maintenance fee to these companies in return of the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the buses.
