An auto driver was injured in two low-intensity blasts at 2.30 pm on Monday near a  shrine in Attapeer, Market Sector 27, Noida, according to police. Following the incident, the Noida Police conducted a massive search at nearby places, launching  intensive checking in shopping malls and other crowded places.

After hearing the blast sounds, a passerby informed police that reached the spot and rushed injured Vijay — who received burn injuries — to a nearby hospital. Eyewitness Dheeraj, a water vendor, told The Pioneer, “Two blasts took place simultaneously. I immediate fled from the spot with my stall.”

Senior police officials, along with heavy police force, including Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS), and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), reached the spot to diffuse any other bombs in the locality but no other bomb was found. Superintendent of police, Noida, Dinesh Yadav said, “We got information about two bomb blasts. Prima facie, they seem to be country made bombs, but the explosion sound was intense according to eyewitnesses. We are investigating the matter to find out who kept explosives there. We have been conducting checking inside malls and crowded market to avoid such incidents ahead of the festivals.”
