LoP to Kejriwal: Withdraw charges against BJP or be ready to face legal action

The Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly,  Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, has asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to withdraw within 24 hours the allegations levelled against the BJP for shutting down yoga classes in Delhi. “If  he does not withdraw these allegations while apologising in 24 hours, legal action will be taken against him.

“To get sympathy vote in the MCD, Kejriwal is blaming the Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena for the closure of yoga classes in the national capital. But the fact is that the government itself allowed to shut the “Dilli ki Yogshala” programme.

“Delhi CM is in the habit of lying in public before the election just to secure votes. He knows that the yoga classes which were being held in the city after neglecting all the rules and regulations and the Lieutenant -Governor has no role in the closure of these classes,” said Bidhuri.

“The governing board of an autonomous institute Delhi Pharmaceutical Science & Research University (DPSRU)was given the responsibility to run yoga classes in Delhi. This university has neither resources nor experts for it due to which the governing board of this university itself has decided to stop these classes,” he said.

“In a note written on September 6, 2022, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia himself wrote on a file that the governing board of this university being autonomous is supreme and the file should not be sent even to the minister of the department for its decisions. But, when the governing board decided to stop yoga classes, he took a U-turn and asked how the board made such a big decision without sending it to the minister,” Bidhuri added.
