leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta on Friday questioned the contradictory statement made by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Ashutosh over sacking of Social Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar after a CD purportedly showing him in a compromising position with women was made public.
Gupta said while Kejriwal is proudly claiming that he has removed a “rotten fish” from AAP, Ashutosh is vehemently defending the sacked Minister in his blog. Gupta questioned Ashutosh’s stand. “Why it should be linked the character of the man and the party. It is strange that Kejriwal boasts of his quick reaction to immoral act when his co-leader is defending the act,” he said.
leader of Opposition asked Kejriwal if he dares to take action against Ashutosh for defending the sacked Minister and condemning the hypocrisy of society and hollowness of the media.
Gupta said Ashutosh reflects the ideology and policy of AAP. “If he draws parallel between Sandeep Kumar on the one hand and Mahatama Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Ram Manohar lohia etc on the other hand, it shows the bankruptcy of AAP think tank. He condemned the parallel between the two classes of people as distorted and against the national ethos,” he said.
