Enraged over repeated lessons and repeated beatings by his overbearing parents on mending his ways, 19-year- old Suraj allegedly murdered three of his family members including father, mother and his younger sister.
The accused was known as a short tempered youth and had engaged in frequent fights with anyone even over the petty issues.
According to his neighbors, entering into quarrels and hurling abusese was part of his behavior for which he used to pick up fights with his neighbors on trivial issues. A student of engineering college in Gurugram, Suraj was known for losing his “cool” quite often because of which his neighbours had started to shun him
“Several times I had seen him quarreling with boys playing in the locality. Most of the times we used hear sounds of quarrel and shouting from their house,” said Sarita, a neighbour adding that several times she had seen Suraj leaving house after arguments in anger.
“I had seen him drunk most of the times and he was always in mood to have a fight. Due his this behavior most of us use to avoid talking to him,” said Rajnish a neighbor adding that we even doubt his kidnapping as we think he might have gone out with friends and done this drama of kidnapping to avoid scolding from parents.
“Mithilesh being our neighbor for near about two decades, had a helpful nature and he was always in front for any help to residents.
Mithilesh was always worried about the future of Suraj and always used to say that his son doesn’t listen to him,” said another resident adding thatwe were aware about Suraj nature but we haven’t dreamt that he would take such a extreme step.
