Now seeking loan for the members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes, minorities and handicapped will be easier as Arvind Kejriwal Government has dropped the Government “guarantors” clause from the application form.
The Delhi Government has recently revamped the entire working structure of Delhi State Finance Development Corporation (DSFDC) so that people can avail maximum benefits. For many it means that they don’t have to hunt for guarantor as loans would be provided in 35 days time.
According to the Government official, from the last one year DSFDC has provided loan to only one person. “The working of administration in DSFDC is very tedious. The officials in the DSFDC have been directed to improve their functioning and cut down red tape and there should be no delay in processing the applications of the loan seekers,” said the official.
“We have also scrapped the representation of the two Government guarantors which was compulsory as people used to find it difficult to reach to them,” the official said. DSFDC is a State level institution for financing, facilitating and promoting the economic developmental activities for all-round development and economic uplift of the minority section in the national capital. DSFDC gets about Rs40 crore corpus from the Government every year.
