As a part of the India Africa Summit 2015, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) conducted a live video streaming of a cultural programme between India and Nigeria at a shopping hub in Connaught Place on Thursday.
The cultural programme was inaugurated by Meenakshi lekhi, Member of Parliament, who addressed the people from both sides. “India and Africa share a warm relationship because of a common past that both the countries share. We both faced and fought against the colonialism and exploitation. We wish peace for the world,” said lekhi.
Naresh Kumar, Council Chairman said the NDMC took two weeks to make the arrangements for this event and we are happy with the response received from the people of both the countries.
“This was a platform where people were connected with each other. Two countries from two different continents came together and share their cultures by live Video Streaming,” Kumar said. Students from both the countries took part in the cultural event.
