BJP leader and Member of Parliament (MP) from New Delhi Meenakshi Lekhi on Monday attended Waste Segregation programme at Sangli apartment.
Effective Waste Management is the need of the hour. Interacting with RWAs, Lekhi said pledged with citizens to keep their environment clean and green and eradicate the use of plastic from their lives.
While interacting with the people Lekhi hailed the local RWA for their continuous efforts to keep their society very clean and green.
"It is a matter of pride for me as a local MP I am blessed to work with people who are conscious about their area and are moving in the right direction for the betterment of the society," the BJP leader said.
Lekhi visited Jeevan Deep Kushth Ashram in RK Puram Area to observe the 'Sewa Week' started today from 14 September to 20 September to mark the birthday of our Prime Minister NarendraModi.
She visited the Ashram and distributed Jute bags, sweets and fruits among the people residing in the KushthAshram .
"It is a way to celebrate our PM's birthday henceforth Bjp is observing Service (Sewa) week. She also distributed Jute bags and urged people to not to use plastic bags in order to keep our environment clean and green.
