An FIR was filed by the Delhi Police on charges of alleged sexual harassment of a female magistrate at a traffic court against a lawyer inside the courtroom during a hearing of a case. However, the lawyer has refuted her claims saying that complaint filed against him is “baseless”.
The incident which took place on October 30 was reported to police the next day and has been registered under Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 169 (public servant unlawfully buying or bidding for property), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his/her duty), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC, said police. The accused lawyer has not been arrested yet.
