The lieutenant-Governor's office in a Press statement on Friday denied the allegations of AAP MlA Sarita Singh who said that the staff at Raj Niwas ill-treated her when they had gone to meet the l-G.
"This allegation of MlA is completely denied. It is most unfortunate that she has chosen to be quite economical with truth as the facts are completely contrary. It is again clarified that AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj had sought an appointment with the l-G to discuss the matter of Mohalla Clinics at 2:30 pm on August 30. He was accompanied by four other MlAs including Sarita Singh," the Press statement said.
The l-G despite telling the MlAs that the file with a request to address the irregularities/deficiencies noticed in the setting up of the Mohalla Clinics have been returned to the Chief Minister, the delegation of MlAs continued to insist for approving the file. They stayed at the office for seven hours till 9:30 pm, said the office.
Refreshments, in fact, was provided to them and women officers were also present till the delegation left, the statement further said.
