A Kenyan woman was murdered by unidentified assailant in Delhi Mehrauli area. The incident occured on Monday late evening.
The Kenyan national identified as Annsam, who was residing at Chattarpur Extension area. Police said that they are questioning suspected women from Kenya who are living in the same building.
According to Vijay Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, on Monday at around 8:10 PM a police control call (PCR), call was received in which the person said that her sister has been killed. “Acting on the call, Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) rushed to the spot. Annsam was found lying in pool of blood in the apartment and was dead on spot. Police found a wound mark caused by knife on the chest of the deceased,” said the DCP.
“She had recently shifted to Delhi and was staying alone in a room in the building,” said the DCP.
“A case under relevant sections has been registered at Mehrauli police station. Police teams have been formed who are scanning CCTV footage in the area to identify the accused,” said the DCP adding that the post mortem examination report is awaited.
