The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday held a roadshow in Shalimar Bagh Bawana area  ahead of the MCD by-elections to support party candidates.

Addressing the residents of Shalimar Bagh and Bawana municipal wards in Delhi, Kejriwal said that AAP has fulfilled all of its promises made in the last elections, including the provision of free and 24x7 electricity and improvement of roads, schools, and hospitals.

The chief Minister said that it is the people's responsibility to make AAP victorious in these by-elections to change the face of MCD. "I got to know that people have been requesting for sewer line in Bawana. It is my promise that I will sanction Rs 100 crores for the sewer project here", he added.

Kejriwal was accompanied by both Sunita Mishra, who is the ward candidate from Shalimar Bagh North 62N, and Ram Chandra, who is the ward candidate from Rohini C32N, and several MLAs.

Addressing the residents of Bawana, Kejriwal emphasized the availability of 24x7 free electricity in Delhi. He said, "We are recognized for 24-hour free electricity across the world. I remember coming here before the elections three years back. It was pouring down and the whole road was filled with potholes. I promised you that if AAP wins, we will mend this road. We have fulfilled our promise. I promised you that I will improve schools and hospitals and my government did it," he said.

"I promise that I will sanction Rs 100 crores for the sewer project in this area. If you vote for any other party, they will not let this area develop and let me work. They will fight with me, as you must have seen in the case of how BJP fights with me. I have fulfilled all my promises that I made in the last elections. It is your responsibility to make AAP win for the development of your Delhi," he said.
