The BJP on Sunday demanded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation after sacked Minister Kapil Mishra alleged he took Rs2 crore in cash from Health Minister Satyendar Jain.

“Kejriwal has no moral right to hold the post of Chief Minister. He must resign immediately,” Bharatiya Janata Party Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari said.

“I have said a number of times that Kejriwal is directly involved in corruption. Mishra’s allegations have proved our point,” Tiwari said.

The BJP leader said a case must be filed on the basis of the allegations made by Mishra, who was sacked from the Delhi Government on Saturday night.

later, Tiwari with other BJP senior leaders met lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal and submitted a letter demanding reference of corruption case raised by Mishra.

Tiwari further said after  Mishra’s expose Kejriwal has no moral right to continue as Chief Minister, the situation is worse than that faced by Kejriwal’s icon lalu Yadav accused of Fodder Scam.

Delhi BJP demands that Kejriwal should immediately resign and if he fails to do so, the l-G should examine the constitutional possibility of recommending dismissal of the Kejriwal Government to the President of India.

Mishra on Sunday alleged that he saw Kejriwal take Rs2 crore from Jain at his residence and also claimed that Kejriwal told me such things happen in politics. Mishra also met the l-G and shared details of water tanker scam with him.
