Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while addressing the public at his dharna on Monday said that he is here for delivering justice to all. “The issue is not one but many, including money being extorted from auto drivers and vendors. I am here to deliver justice to the people and it’s a matter of a concern that a Chief Minister has to sit on dharna,” said Kejriwal.
In his no-holds barred speech, Kejriwal lambasted Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and blamed him squarely for siding with corrupt Delhi Police. He also threatened that he will spread disorder in the domain of the Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi and Shinde. He said that the lieutenant-Governor of Delhi was a nice person but he does not trust the inquiry conducted by Delhi Police against its own personnel.
Arvind Kejriwal in his speech delivered at the protest stated that it is shocking to see that the Delhi Police refused to take any action even on directions given by his Ministers. Criticising the Delhi Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Chief Minister claimed that they all are a part of the corrupt nexus. “The Delhi Police did not follow the direction given by my Ministers. All this (referring to Malviya Nagar raid by law Minister Somnath Bharti) that has been going on in the area cannot go on without the knowledge of the police,” said Kejriwal.
