A 21-year-old man, a karate teacher, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting minor son of the CEO and editor-in-chief of a leading news magazine published from the national Capital.
The victim, who is four-year-old, initially did not open up to his parents but later told them that his karate teacher kisses him on his lips and also touches his private parts.
The accused has been identified as Deepak.
The victim's father told police that of late he was reluctant to go for his classes and when they asked him to go, he would start crying.
Noticing such a sudden change in behavioir of the boy, last week the victim's mother questioned him indirectly why he was not willing to go to the karate classes. It was then that the boy told his mother that the teacher would touch his private parts and also kiss him on his lips and he was very uncomfortable due to it.
The statement left the parents stumped as the boy (victim) was always accompanied by a maid servant or his mother.
When the victim's mother questioned him further he said his teacher would molest him whenever he would go to the changing room. The victim further told his mother that whenever he would do the hand stand, his teacher would touch his private parts.
After the victim's mother complained to the owner of the gym, the accused Deepak allegedly called the maid servant who used to accompany the victim and started asking whether his mother complained about him regarding anything.
The maid servant immediately gave the phone to the victim's mother and Deepak changed the topic of discussion immediately.
The victim's parents immediately approached police and based on their statement a first information report under section 10 of the Protection of Children from sexual offences act (Punishment for aggravated sexual assault) at the lajpat Nagar Police station.
A police official said further investigations are going on. Police are also trying to ascertain whether the accused teacher had molested other children too.
