Providing students the liberty of fill admission forms online for the first time, Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) is witnessing even more applications this year. So far a record 53,000 forms have been filled up and the university has also not left any loose ends when it comes to grievance redressal.
The university on Monday declared that they have received a total of 3,200 queries from the students so far of which none were left unattended.JMI started a new process this year where a student can both buy a prospectus with the application form and manually submit it to the university along with the OMR sheet or he/she can fill the form online, take a print out of the OMR sheet and courier it to the university. This process made it easier for the students to apply, thus increasing the number of applications.
As per this system, all queries regarding the admission process have been made electronic. The queries received by the university are sent to the central admission cell.Once the grievance reaches there, it is addressed in less than 24 hours.The admission process to most of the courses in the university ended on Monday. However, admissions to certificate programmes in the Faculty of Fine Arts will be on till July 1, certificateprogrammes in other courses till May 15 and BE (Evening) and Diploma Engineering (Evening) till October 15.
