After achieving an all India rank of 21, 17-year-old Srajan Garg emerged as the Delhi topper in the IIT-JEE Advance examination, the results of which were declared on Thursday. Garg scored 303 out of a total of 360.

Having received his schooling from lal Bahadur Shastri Senior Secondary School, RK Puram, Garg enrolled in the two-year integrated Pinnacle Program of FIITJEE, which prepares students for Class XII board exams, IIT-JEE (Main & Advance) and other engineering entrance exams. According to Garg, becoming the topper of Delhi doesn’t come as a surprise to him as he was sure he would at least be in the top 30 all-India ranking.

However, Garg is not one of those students who studies all the time. Instead, he whiles away most of his time playing videogames and only spends about five to six hours studying unlike his competitors. He doesn’t even want to get into the Civil Services. “I have loved technology and gaming since Class IX. Since then I have been interested in the coding

sessions. I want to do engineering in computers from IIT, Mumbai,” shared Garg.

Garg doesn’t have many friends though. He said, “The only friends I have are my batchmates in the Pinnacle Program. That is also another reason I am so interested in gaming. To pass time, I play real-time strategy games like Star Craft and occasionally I also play Counter Strike.”

Garg’s father is an Income Tax Commissioner and mother is a homeopath.
