JD(U) MlA's rider for AAP support: Evict Vishwas

Just a day after his controversial interview, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas faced more criticism. lone JD(U) MlA Shoaib Iqbal has asked AAP leadership to expel Kumar Vishwas from the party as he is creating hurdles in the way of AAP forging alliance with Congress. Iqbal also said that he will support AAP only after Vishwas is expelled. Stung by senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas’s praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Iqbal has asked Arvind Kejriwal to expel him from the party within next three days.

“We are giving them a deadline of three days to expel Kumar Vishwas and if this does not happen, then on Friday, we will start our campaign against AAP, especially Kumar Vishwas. I am hopeful that Kejriwal will look into this,” Iqbal said. The JD(U) leader also called Vishwas an “anti-Muslim” leader. Speaking about possible Assembly elections in Delhi, the JD(U) MlA also claimed that Kejriwal had spoken to him asking to oppose the BJP move to form Government in Delhi.

In an interview to a private news channel, Vishwas on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The day it (AAP) becomes a typical political party (god forbid), I will quit politics,” he had said. The JD(U) MlA also said he hopes that AAP chief would throw Vishwas out of the party.

“We thought that Kejriwal would take out Vishwas from his party after whatever happened. Kumar Vishwas has always been saying something against Muslims and later apologises. But with regret I have to say this that Vishwas’ mind works day and night to spread enmity among the people of Delhi and such a person should not stay in AAP at any cost,” he added.

Iqbal’s statement came on a day when the AAP convener too made headlines with his remark on Modi and his Government at the Centre. Kejriwal, during an interview, was quoted as saying, Popular assessment is that the Modi Government is low on delivery, but still there are high hopes.”Earlier Vishwas, a popular AAP leader, had said, “If PM does well, I have the right to praise him. Modi is comparatively better PM than Manmohan Singh.”
