Dr Zahid Ashraf, a professor of Department of Biotechnology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has been elected as a member of Guha Research Conference (GRC).
The GRC named after Bires Chandra Guha is a scientific society set up by Indian scholars to develop the field of Biochemistry.
GRC is a professional assemblage of distinguished scientists that meets annually for the extensive scientific discussion of their work in a stimulating atmosphere.
The commendation has been made keeping in view of Professor Ashraf’s pioneering work in resolving the mystery of blood clotting on exposure to hypoxia at high altitudes and mechanisms associated with its pathology.
