Instead of spreading awareness about dengue, chikunguniya, Kejriwal using hoardings for self promotion: BJP

Published on:

Expressing concern over rising numbers of vector-borne diseases in the national Capital, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday said it is sad that rather than using the hoardings for awareness on dengue and chikunguniya, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is using them for his own political promotions.

"What further hurts is that Kejriwal Government continues to play dirty politics of delaying proper financial support to the MCDs which have to employ Domestic Breeding Checkers (DBC) and ensure sanitation thus adversely affecting the ground performance," Tiwari said, adding, "Delhi Government hospitals, till date, are not prepared to meet any situation of medical contingency as witnessed in past two years."

He further said that our party workers made surprise checks and found that apart from the lNJP hospital most Delhi Government hospitals are not well equipped with dedicated fever clinics for dengue and chikunguniya.

"The situation at the GTB Hospital, the largest in East Delhi, is pathetic as patients of dengue are being kept in normal wards," he said further. "Delhi BJP believes that the Health Department of Delhi has totally failed the citizens of Delhi," he added.
