The people of Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) especially living in and around Noida City Centre will soon avail the metro facility as the safety inspection on the 6.6-km Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City section of Delhi Metro held on Monday for safety, paving way for its opening.
Once the section starts its operations, a large number of people living in Noida such as sectors 34, 52 and 22 as well as commercial areas in sectors 59, 61, 62 and Electronic City will be benefitted as currently there is no metro connectivity.
The 6.6-km long corridor is an extension of the existing Blue Line corridor that connects Dwarka with Noida City Centre.
“The civil work on the section is over and trials are currently underway. Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) S K Pathak on Monday inspected the 6.675-km long Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City section of Delhi Metro’s Blue Line,” said a senior DMRC official.
