Improve medical facilities in Govt hospitals: Gupta

leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that the condition of hospitals in the national Capital is pitiable and demanded that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should take cognizance of poor medical facilities in Delhi hospitals and take immediate steps to run all departments of Tahirpur and Janakpuri Super Specialty hospitals.

“Only OPD facilities are given to these hospitals. Hundreds of patients die every year in the absence of proper treatment,” said Gupta.

He added that 10,994 beds are available for patients in 39 Government hospitals. There is huge shortage of medical specialists, nurses, para-medical staff, medical equipments and medicines in the hospitals.
