Illegal occupants evicted from Ghaziabad police lines' quarters

In a massive drive carried out by the Ghaziabad police, illegal occupants were evicted from Ghaziabad’s police lines' quarters on Friday.

Over 80 per cent quarters were freed from unauthorised occupants in the drive. "New middle ranked police officers, who are transferred here, were facing an acute problem of accommodation. The police personnel who had been transferred to other places were still occupying residences in the police lines. They were served notices. On one pretext or other, they kept staying there. Eventually, they started ignoring notices. So we carried a drive and evicted unauthorised occupants from about 27 houses,” said SP Traffic, Amar Singh, in charge of police lines.
