A 17-year-old girl was taken away by a man who allegedly lured her on the pretext of better lifestyle on July 21, police said on Tuesday The girl is the niece of an Indian Air force Junior Warrant Officer and also a boxing coach of the force.
Police has identified the accused as Namzing, but could not arrest him yet.
According to a senior police official, the victim has been identified as Hringningam Wango, a resident of Manipur, who had left her uncle RNG Divension’s home in New wellington camp in Chanakyapuri at 9:30 am in the morning but did not return back home since then. Divension said, “When my niece went out in the morning, she told me that she was going out for some work. When she did not return back till night, I complained to police and an FIR was registered. I am very worried as my niece has not yet been traced. Her mobile is switched off.”
“I warned my niece many times against the accused but she did not listen to me,” said a worried Divension.
