The woman who had jumped in front of the Metro train on Wednesday morning along with her male companion has alleged that she was forced by him to jump along. The young couple both of them engineering students allegedly attempted to commit suicide by jumping before a metro train at Chhatarpur Metro station in South Delhi. The incident took place at 10.48am when Amit Chauhan (27) and Mohini (22) jumped on the metro track when a train, heading toward Huda City Centre in Gurgaon, arrived on platform Number one of the station. Mohini has alleged that she was forced by Amit to jump infront of the train even though she refused to. Amit held her hand and made her jump purposely.
“A case of attempt to murder has been registered. They were well aquainted with each other. We are verifying the claims of the girl,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) Sanjay Bhatia.
