The Delhi Police Special Cell on Wednesday arrested the 25-year-old man who was wanted for allegedly molesting a woman at Huda City Centre Metro Station complex in Gurugram a few days back.

The accused had allegedly flashed at the woman and was wanted by police for outraging the modesty of a woman.

“The accused has been identified as, Dinesh (25) a resident of Sector-57, Gurugram and a native of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh (UP). He was apprehended on Wednesday,” said Pramod Singh Kushwah, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Special Cell.

It was alleged by woman that, on June 14 when the complainant was walking out of Huda City Centre Metro station, while she was climbing down escalators, one person flashed exposed himself inappropriately.

A 29 year old Delhi based interior designer had earlier alleged that a man masturbated on her when she was climbing down an escalator at the Huda City Centre Metro Station complex.

The victim said she had gone to visit a friend in Gurugram on June 14 and the incident happened when she came out of a clothing store on the first floor of the metro station.

“After exiting the store, I felt something was wrong on my back. I turned and realised that a man masturbated on me. I was shocked, scared and traumatised. I confronted him. He flashed me and said indecent words; I slapped him,” the victim alleged.

After taking cognisance of the woman’s complaint on Twitter, Gurugram police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under section 354A/509 of Indian Penal

Code (IPC) at Metro police station in the neighbouring Gurugram. The accused was clearly seen in the CCTV grab and his movements were scanned by the sleuths to locate and bring him to justice, a police official said.
