How AAP's wardrobe measured up on Day 1

Published on:

From formal suits to colourful Nehru jackets, the AAP Government on Monday pulled off the first day of the Delhi Assembly session like veterans.  With almost 68 per cent of fresh faces, the AAP leaders repeated nothing from the past, as the MlAs drove to the Vidhan Sabha in shiny SUVs and hatchback cars. While Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wore his usual grey trousers and shirt teamed with navy blue sweater, others like Kirari MlA seemed quite happy flaunting his dhoti kurta. Deviating from the usual tradition of speaking in Hindi, several legislators broke the monotony by taking the oath in different languages like three MlAs took oath in Maithili, three in English, three in Punjabi, two in Urdu and one in Sanskrit, trying to reflect the linguistic diversity.
