DDA to e-auction properties from July 1
In a bid to increase transparency and go global, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the first time is all set to open e-auctioning of its various properties July 1 onwards. To start with, the authority will be e-auctioning several of its parking sites, restaurants and kiosks.
The authority closed its manual auctioning system on May 30. On July 16, the DDA has decided to begin online auction of 37 parking sites, four restaurants, 18 kiosks and two toilet blocks. “It is for the first time that the authority is going global by opening the auctioning to bidders everywhere — within and outside India. The e-auctioning will be on licence fee basis and will kick off at 10 am on July 16. Intending bidders should register themselves or their firms online in our website,” said a DDA official. For the purpose of e-auctioning, DDA has developed its own portal on its website www.dda.org.in, which is ready. The Indian Telephone Industries (ITI), a Public Service Undertaking (PSU) company, is the professional partner in this venture. The bidders can also register themselves at www.auctionwizard.in/DDA.
In order to ensure that all perspective bidders are able to participate in the process, DDA also recently issued a public notice vide which perspective bidders will be invited and provided training by DDA in the process of e-auctioning. “This will facilitate maximum participation and will also ensure that perspective bidders are not left out or feel helpless in participating in the e-auctioning process,” said the official.
Meanwhile, the authority is once again organising a special camp exclusively for disposal of pending conversion cases of DDA properties from July 1 to July 9. The camp will be held at Nagrik Suvidha Kendras of DDA established in various zones of Delhi.
