Headless body of a 24-year-old youth was found outside the Samaypur Badli Metro Station among the bushes in Rohini district's Samaypur Badli area on Monday morning.

Rishi Pal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) said that the deceased has been identified as Jawed.

Police said that Jawed used to work in a jute factory in Siraspur and lived with his family in the Jeevan Park area with his parents and siblings. The family hails from Bihar.

His family told police that Jawed received a call on his cell phone on Sunday at around 7 pm. "Jawed told his father that he will return in an hour. At 9 pm, when Jawed did not return home, his father called  on his cell phone but in vain.

His family searched for Jawed till 1 am on Sunday night but could not find him.

On Momday morning, when they resumed and started to look around, Jawed's 19-year-old brother Junaid found people and a few policemen had gathered near the Samaypur Badli Metro Station. The body was found 1 kilometre away from the house of the deceased.

The 19-year-old saw the headless body of his brother. Since the head was missing, the teen identified his elder brother by his clothes and his chappals.

The senior police officer said that two-years-ago, some people were asking Jawed's father to take back the case in which the elderly man was a prime eyewitness.

They suspect that it is the same set of people which killed Jawed and chopped off his head. Police said that despite efforts, they were not able to find the head of Jawed till late Monday night.

Police said that they have sent the body for post-mortem. They are trying to identify the caller. A case of murder has been registered at the Samaypur Badli police station against unknown people.
