The much-hyped public hearing by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to be held again from April 15 from his new Civil lines official residence in the national Capital. There are indications that the Chief Minister may hold public hearings thrice every week.
Kejriwal along with his city Ministers had held his first public hearing outside the Delhi Secretariat when he was in power for 49 days in 2013-14. At that time, the public hearing had become chaotic as the administration had failed to deal with a large number of people who had come to get their grievances redressed by the AAP Government. The Chief Minister and his team had to leave midway to ensure there was no untoward incident.
later, Kejriwal started attending public hearings at his Kaushambi residence. After shifting to his new official bungalow in Civil lines, the CM had stopped holding public hearings.
This time, the administration plans to hold public hearings in a much organised manner.
“Not only will the officers from different departments be present, there will also be a nodal officers keeping track on every grievance received by the CM,” an officer told The Pioneer.
