In a tragic incident, a septuagenarian handicapped woman was brutally murdered on Thursday by an unknown man who smashed her face with bricks in the national Capital’s Ranhola area.
According to police, the incident took place before dawn. The deceased Sarori was found dead at a vacant plot in Sainik Enclave at Ranhola in west Delhi.
“The deceased who could barely walk was found in an undressed state on the plot and it seems that her face was crushed after being smashed repeatedly with bricks. We have taken the deceased for autopsy and waiting for report to ascertain whether she was sexually assaulted,” said a senior police official.
“We have even got a CCTV footage in which a person is coming out of the plot and he was not wearing any shirt. We are searching for that person,” said a police official.
According to the deceased's son Irfan, her mother was sleeping outside the house for the last eight years. “Around 3 am when I woke and came out she was not on the bed. I raised an alarm and the family started looking for her. We found her clothes outside the plot and later found her nude body,” said Irfan.
