A woman was gang-raped in a moving car in Ghaziabad on Friday morning. In her complaint to the Sahibabad police, the 35-year-old woman alleged that her husband, his brother and their brother-in-law along with a disabled unidentified man gang-raped her in the moving car in Sahibabad area of the city.
The police said the woman, a mother of two, in her complaint stated that her husband Sandeep Dhama, a resident of a village in Baghpat, on April 16 last took out the `25,000 in cash from the home where she lives at Sanjay Nagar locality under Kavi Nagar police station. She kept the cash in home to deposit fee of her children. She was asking her husband for several days to return the money so that she could deposit the tuition fee of her children in the school. But the husband continued ignoring her request.
When she insisted to return the money, the husband who had gone to his native village for quite some time, asked her to reach Mohan Nagar to collect the cash, she said.
At about 9 am on Friday when she reached Mohan Nagar to collect the money she found four men sitting in a silver colour Alto car. When she was talking to her husband alongside a road she was dragged inside the car and the man on the driving seat started moving it towards Bhopura Mor. They continued travelling in the slow car for more than two hours and during that they all beat her severely and three of them — husband Sandeep, his brother Bijendra and their brother-in-law Narendra — gang-raped and dumped her near Hindon Air Force station and fled the spot without returning money.
The fourth accomplice, a disabled man, remained merely a spectator to the incident. Before dumping her near the Air Force station, they threatened her not to reveal the incident to anyone. From the spot where they dumped her, she walked to the police station and lodged the complaint.
“On the woman’s complaint a case under Section 376 has been registered against the three accused. The woman has been sent for medical examination. The police are trying to arrest the culprits,” said SP City Shiv Shankar Yadav.
