The Ghaziabad Police has booked its own Sub-Inspector for repeatedly raping a woman and forcing her to abort foetus twice.
Police said that a woman, resident of lokpriya Vihar in Khoda, lodged a complaint with Khoda Police Station that the UP Police Sub-Inspector Shailendra Singh raped her repeatedly. She further alleged that she had conceived twice but was forced to undergo medical termination of pregnancy. The accused had coerced her into aborting the foetus.
The woman alleged that the Sub-Inspector raped her in a house in Sangam Park area. The complaint was submitted October 6 night.
"We have registered a FIR under Sections 376, 313 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused Sub-Inspector. Presently, he is posted at Modi Nagar. Investigation has been initiated in the case and arrest is to be made" said Superintendent of Police (SP) City Akash Tomar.
