In view of heavy inflow of lord Shiva devotees (Kanwarias), the Ghaziabad Police has summoned drones and helicopters for aerial surveillance. In addition to adopting such effective measures 30 new CCTV cameras have been installed at strategic points.
SP City Akash Tomar said after installing 30 new CCTV cameras the total strength have gone to 67 since 37 CCTV cameras had already been functioning.
The 37 cameras are being managed by the city control room while 30 cameras are being monitored by composite control room by Reserve Inspector of police lines and district control room some cameras are being managed by Dudheswar Nath temple management added the SP City.
The NH-24 would remain close for heavy traffic from July 15 to 22. A separate passage have been barricaded for Kanwaria right from Haridwar to Ghaziabad.
