Ghaziabad Police have intensified security at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office at Kaushambi. The police took the decision after sudden clashes took place between the AAP workers and the BJP workers at several places in the country after Arvind Kejriwal was detained at a police station in Gujarat on his tour to the State to study the development there.
The circle officer IV of Ghaziabad Police, Ranvijay Singh, told The Pioneer that earlier one sub-inspector and four constables were deployed after the Bajrang Dal workers attacked the party office.
“After shifting of the AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal to Delhi, the risk probabilities were assessed as minimum but after a sudden and spontaneous provocation between the workers of the two parties, an additional force of one sub-inspector and five constables was deployed,” added the CO.
