The Ghaziabad police arrested a builder from his RDC residence in Ghaziabad on Wednesday for allegedly raping his staffer. The police said the victim alleged that V Raj George, the managing director of Marsas Agrovet ltd and a resident of RDC-79, exploited her sexually on pretext of marrying her.
He later went back on his promise. In her complaint lodged on August 8, the victim stated that he used to detain her late in the office under one pretext or other. When the other staffers left the office, he used to serve her juice laced with sedative and rape her when she lost consciousness. When she protested, he promised to marry her and continued to sexually exploit her, she added. “We have arrested him and have produced him before the court which has sent him to judicial custody. On the basis of the complaint, George was booked under Sections 420, 328 and 376 of IPC,” said the Inspector In-charge Indirapuram Hardayal Singh Yadav.
