With an intention to take control over property in Gurgaon, one Mayank Chaudhry allegedly murdered his father in Palam Vihar around 9.30 pm on Wednesday.
Mayank lived on the twelfth floor of tower 5 in Bestech Park and wanted to sell his flat, though his father was opposed to this. The victim, Anil Chaudhry (55), lived with him and was shot at close range.
According to the police, Mayank and his friend Rahul came to flat 1205 and got into a heated argument with Chaudhry senior. His father’s denial angered Mayank to the extent that he shot him twice point blank and fled from the spot.
It is not clear whether any other family member was also present. A case has been registered.
