Delhi Power minister Satyender Jain has announced that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government will not increase electricity charges for the next five years. Speaking in Delhi Assembly, Jain said, "Our party has vision and we will not impose tax on electricity. Delhi will get r4 hours uninterrupted water supply while cleaning of river  Yamuna and providing free Wi - Fi services are the top priorities of the government.

"We have fulfilled our promises and will prove again as the party has the will power to clean Yamuna, "Ham Yamuna Clean karke dikhayenge," Jain declared amidst thumping of the desk by his party MLAs.

Citing example of  round the clock power supply to Delhi, Jain said, "AAP has ensured that people were not dependent on inverters. It is time now to provide 24/7 water to people."

Mentioning about Yamuna reservoir plan, Jain said with the success of this pilot project, we will be able to combat water scarcity situation. "Delhi will have regular water supply  in every household and the people will not have to rely on water pump/motors," Jain said.

It may be noted that few days earlier Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced blue print of free Wi - Fi services in Delhi. Remarkably, concluding the session, Jain announced, "We have floated tender for free Wi-Fi services in Delhi, the work will start soon."  Providing free Wi - Fi services was the main promise in AAP's 2015 election manifesto.

While the possibility of early assembly elections are evolving, Jain's announcement may have impact on Delhi voters.
