nFormer Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit president Vijay Goel undertook a padyatra in slums of Model Town and Lalbagh with hundreds of supporters to spread awareness about Gandhi's principle of cleanliness.
He requested the slum dwellers to take responsibility of their sanitation and cleanliness. “It is necessary to boycott single use plastic and to keep our surroundings clean,” he said.
Attacking Chief Minister for his remarks, Goel said poorvanchali residents of slums in Lalbagh were upset with Kejriwal's remark that Delhi hospitals are providing treatment worth Rs 5 lakh to people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh for just Rs 500.
"The people from Bihar and UP asked is this country not ours? They said Kejriwal has no right to say this if he did not construct even a single hospital in Delhi," he asked.
