A 22-year-old girl on Friday fell off under mysterious circumstances from 8th floor of a residential society in Sector 100 in Noida. The area falls in Sector 39 police station area. Police have sent the body for autopsy and informed the deceased family about the incident.
Station House officer, Sector-39, police station, Zaheer Khan said police received call about the incident at 5 am on Friday. Acting on the information a police team reached the spot at lotus Boulevard residential society in Sector 100 in Noida.
“The victim was living in Delhi and on Thursday had come to her male friend’s flat in Noida to celebrate her birthday,” said Khan, adding the deceased’s family lives in Amritsar, Punjab. Family has been informed and further investigation is on to establish the case.
Khan said the deceased lived in a paying guest accommodation in Greater Kailash area of South Delhi. She was recently passout from Amity University. There were total five people inside the flat. It was her birthday, so they were celebrating her birthday in the flat.
“We have questioned deceased’s friends. They said that she fell off accidently as she was drunk. We have sent the body for autopsy. Exact cause of death and either she had consumed liquor or not will be unearthed after obtaining the report,” he added.
“We have seized champagne and bear bottles from this flat. A team of forensic experts have also inspected the spot and took finger prints for further investigation.” Assistant Superintendent of police, Noida Vijay Dhul said. All the detained youths are pursuing MBA from Amity University, Noida, he added.
