A 25-year-old girl on Tuesday alleged that she was gangraped by her boyfriend and his four friends in a five-star hotel in Greater Noida. An FIR was registered against the accused in Kasna police station.
According to the police, the victim had been in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend for the last 5 years. The girl who hails from Noida, is working as a software engineer in a private company. The accused, who belongs to Agra, works in the same organisation.
Police said that the accused had promised to marry her, however he later refused. The victim, in her complaint, said that he had physical relationship with for the last five years on pretext of marriage.
Two weeks ago, he had taken her to a five-star hotel located in Greater Noida where he and his four friends raped her. She was also threatened with dire consequence if she went to the police, the victim said in her complaint.
However, police in its initial investigation have not found any record of any check-in into the five-star hotel.
“We have registered an FIR against the accused and started investigation. Prima-facie, no evidence have been recorded in the hotel. We have called the victim to record her statement,” said Arun Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of police, Greater Noida.
