A boy and a girl who were found dead near a railway track in Gautam Buddh Nagar’s Dadri area on Wednesday. The duo was said to be in a relationship and had gone missing from their homes since Tuesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Archana (15) and Ankit (19) who were found in bad state along the tracks near Maycha village on Wednesday morning.
According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Vineet Jaiswal, a police control room (PCR) call was received around 6.30 am regarding the bodies following which a team was dispatched for the spot.
“Police team found the bodies and suspect that they were probably crushed under a train,” Jaiswal said.
“During investigations, it was found that the boy and the girl were known to each other and had been missing from their homes since Tuesday,” Jaisawal said.
“A case has been registered. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is underway,” the SP added.
