GHPS Staff Welfare Association demands right to equal pay

To intensify efforts for implementation of the 6th Pay Commission, Guru Harkrishan Public School (GHPS) Staff Welfare Association under the ambit of GHPS Society on Tuesday demanded ‘right to equal pay’. There are 12 schools that are run by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) in the national Capital.

Speaking to The Pioneer, GHPS spokesperson, Rajni Naik told, “Teachers are meant to produce new generation of learned people but we are harassed day in and out by the Society for simply asking our rights of equal payment.”

“The Committee is misleading by stating the truth. Many a times they have stated that according to the RTI Act, 6th pay commission has been implemented and have released all the arrears to all the employees of GHPS but our case is still pending in Delhi High Court”, stated General Secretary of GHPS Staff Welfare Association, Jaswant Kaur.
